The mission of Choosing Wisely is to promote conversations between clinicians and patients by helping patients choose care that is supported by evidence, free from harm, and truly necessary.
Choosing wisely brings together national organizations and medical specialists to identify tests and procedures commonly used in their respective fields whose necessity should be questioned and discussed. This call to action has resulted in specialty-specific lists of “Things Providers and Patients Should Question.”
Patient-friendly materials are offered to help patients engage their health care provider in these conversations and empower them to ask questions about what tests and procedures are truly right for them.
The mission is extremely similar to ClearCut ORTHO, but instead of focusing just on orthopedics, they expand much more broadly into a hundreds of health conditions like heart disease, diabetes, asthma, and cancer, just to name a few.

MoveForwardPT is a group within the American Physical Therapy Association whose goal is to provide users with a variety of tools to help find physical therapists, provide information about health and prevention on hundreds of diagnoses, and help educate the public about pain science and treatment to help combat the epidemic of opioid abuse.
They also offer patient success stories, more information on what different physical therapy specialities exist, and a ton of inspiring and informational orthopedic content. It gives a great picture of the type of conservative care that individuals with movement dysfunction or pain should be seeking out first prior to other treatments.
TheraPTeutic alliance is a website devoted to pain science education for both patients and clinicians. They offer a variety of resources and books to help better understand the scientific mechanisms involved in acute and chronic pain, how those can relate to making progress in your orthopedic treatments, and expand on the importance of healthy conversation and communication between patient and provider.
Pop-Doc offers mobile and home exercises to diminish joint pain and improve joint health, athletic performance, and quality of life. It includes detailed photographs with simple step-by-step instructions on how to perform each exercise. It also allows qualified healthcare professionals to custom design exercises for whatever particular needs you may have.
